DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

FULL TIME opportunity: 40 Hours

Salary is commensurate with experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Marketing is responsible for both the strategic direction and execution of quality, timely, and relevant marketing communications campaigns that support for the mission of The Common Good. The director oversees all aspects of the marketing communications program: digital strategy including the website, email, and social media; writing, design, and production of print and online collateral and media relations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of communication, public relations, marketing or creative experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in brand management

  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences with a high degree of professionalism and appropriate style

  • Comprehensive knowledge of current marketing channels and trends.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan to effectively promote The Common Good in its target market areas

  • Manage all external communication efforts, including website maintenance, social media management, newsletter creation/distribution and other marketing activities as needed

  • Develop flyers, brochures and other collateral materials

  • Work alongside program managers to inform messaging and increase program participation

  • Create and distribute press releases on critical initiatives and events

  • Cultivate relationships with corporate, civic and faith groups

  • Track & analyze marketing campaigns

  • Consult with Executive Director about communication, fundraising, event marketing and more

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Written & oral communication

  • Website or web-based expertise

  • Knowledge of graphic design programs like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
