PROGRAM COORDINATOR - MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

PART-TIME opportunity: 22-25 Hours per week

$18 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

The individual in this position will serve as the coordinator for middle and high school programming. The coordinator will help the program manager oversee daily operations of the program, including preparing supplies required for programming, data input, and assisting staff and volunteers with student behavioral issues. The individual who fills this role will be someone who takes initiative, who is dependable, and who is excited to engage with and be a mentor for middle and high school students.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and engage with middle and high school students as they start arriving to The HUB  

  • Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities 

  • Support Program Manager in directing staff work assignments, workloads and work schedules 

  • Monitor implementation of program policies and practices 

  • Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals 

  • Prepare meals and snacks for students during programming; assist the Program Manager in planning out meals and snacks  

  • Assist staff and volunteers with de-escalation in situations where students are presenting challenging behaviors  

  • Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff, clients, administrators and all other program stakeholders 

  • Support program growth and development as necessary  

  • Assist teachers and volunteers with curriculum, supply, etc. needs  

  • Be part of the closing crew; make sure the building is clean and the necessary closing procedures are followed before closing up for the night.  

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of working with teenage student population (programming, ministry, education, etc) 

  • High School diploma or GED 

  • Must be able to pass a background check 

ADDITIONAL NOTES

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-7:30pm  

Schedule may change slightly based off different program needs throughout the school year.
