Mid/High School HUB Summer

Students in 6th-12th grade that live in the 74127 zip code

are invited to join us this summer

at THE HUB > 19 S. 49th West Ave.

Fun & Creative Weekly Activities 

Art Projects, STEM classes, Sports and more!

Snacks provided! Field trips included!

The event is FREE of charge, but REGISTRATION is required.

Click on the Registration form to register your 6th-12th grader for the HUB Mid/High Summer:

WEEK#1: June 03-07, 3:30-5:00pm

ART WEEK

  • Building a 3D creature head, working with tools (wire sculptures) doing large-scale art projects. Competing at the end for a prize

  • darts and water balloon painting, water gun painting

WEEK#2: June 10-14, 3:30-4:30pm

DISCOVERY LAB EXHIBIT DESIGN CHALLENGE

  • The Museum's Directors participate in classroom curriculum as the "clients" presenting a real-world engineering challenge to your students. After the teams of students have presented their ideas and prototypes, the Museum picks a winning design and brings it to life at the Discovery Lab!

WEEK#3: June 17-19, 4:00-5:30pm

3V3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT & MORE

  • Basketball Shooting Contest
    Coaches vs. Kids

  • 3v3 Basketball Tournament

  • *This is a short week, June 17-19

WEEK#4: July 22-26, 3:00-5:30pm

WATER WEEK

  • Water-based activities all week (obstacle course, relay races, water balloon baseball, etc.). Students will be learning leadership skills as they help the program managers run a water camp for the elementary students. They will be helping set up/tear down water week and will facilitate activities alongside program managers. They will also get to participate in the activities!

  • Make sure your student brings a change of clothes and a towel each day.

  • Aquarium field trip 7/26/24, 10am-2pm | Must attend week's activities to participate in field trip

WEEK#5: July 29-August 2, 3:30-5:30pm

SWAT MEET WEEK

  • Songwriting / recording workshops, graphic design workshops, photography workshops. Will teach kids how to make money from this industry.
